Hidden Pines | Lake Houston by Walters Wedding Estates

This venue is such a hidden gem. I love how open yet intimate it is, plus the windows overlooking the lake are stunning. It's so unique and doesn't feel like a typical open barn venue. The planning process has been so smooth and Madison has been such a big help! I also love how many options there are with the actual venue so you don't have to manage so many vendors or communications. They really make it easy! I cant wait for our wedding in a few weeks!!

After much thought we decided it was best to do an all inclusive venue. If I could do it again I wouldn’t have chose Walter weddings. The customer service was horrible, wouldn’t help on the day of wedding, my mom mob was setting up tables day of. They nickel and dime you for everything and to top it off their chosen photographer lost HALF of my gallery!! We paid thousands of dollars we were not satisfied with what we paid vs what we got.

My husband and I got married at Walters Hidden Pines Wedding Estate, and it was the best decision we made. Not only is the venue stunning, but their staff and vendors are great! Our coordinator, Sheilah, was amazing! She was present and prompt to our needs during the planning process and contributed to making our special day perfect. I also recommend their DJ, Will. All of our guests loved the music.

Walter Wedding Estates made our wedding planning process and wedding day so easy and seamless. The team at Walter Wedding truly cares and knows all the ins and outs of wedding planning. Without them, our wedding would not have been the dream wedding that it was. It was even better than I could have imagined. Our wedding planner and day-of coordinator, Sheilah, worked with us for over 1.5 years and really helped bring our vision to life. Additionally, Cohost and Design Haus asked great questions to truly incorporate our vision. If you want a seamless, organized, and supportive team behind you during wedding planning, definitely go with Walter Wedding Estates and try to work with Sheilah. She was the difference maker in my eyes and always had solutions to problems we didn't even know could happen. With weddings having so many details and nuances, especially since most individuals are getting married for the first time and will only do it once, you want someone as organized, proactive, and responsive as Sheilah. She was truly there for us and super accommodating. We met with her both virtually and in person at the venue leading up to our wedding, and every time we walked away from those meetings feeling confident that our wedding would go really well. And it did! Many of our guests have commended us for the wedding we had, how seamless everything seemed, and how fun it all was.

Hidden Pines Lake Houston is an amazing venue. Walking through the venue, we just knew we would be married there. The venue has indoor and outdoor ceremony options, a cocktail hour section, and an amazing reception hall next to a body of water that provides a natural background for beautiful pictures. Our wedding planner, Madison, has been there every step of the way. She has been accesible through the portal, email, and phone for questions and concerns. The venue hosts events for couples to experience the food and atmosphere that Hidden Pines has to offer. The level of professionalism and communication are above and beyond anything a couple can ask for.

Madison is the best planner! Very reassuring and responsive. Honestly the entire team has been more than helpful and I’m so excited and relaxed about getting married here! Very organized!

I just want to come on here and warn any bride looking at Walter Venues… don’t do it. It was a nightmare. -It’s such an impersonal experience. You don’t even meet your coordinator in person and she’s not even the one that will be there on the day of !!!!! They’re assigning me 2 random people to come coordinate the day of, not the woman I’ve been working with for the past year. The girl that was there the day of left at like 8 and someone else showed up? (Yes we had our own coordinator too but that’s not the point. I didn’t enjoy having random people show up at my wedding that I’ve never met) -You get different answers depending on who you ask at the venue, no one is on the same page. It’s actual chaos. -Everything you do is on some portal that isn’t organized great, and you only communicate through email. Which I hate. They don’t necessarily like in person meetings or phone calls. -The amount of times I have had to ask our ‘coordinator’ to fix something on the documents because she was careless and typed in things wrong, was absurd. -Our cake was cracked and melted before we even cut it. -The bartender was very rude to my husband & a few guests. Even made a comment about ‘not making enough for this’. -The fajita Buffett didn’t let people get one chicken and one beef fajita. They were only allowed one meat. -They didn’t pass out my appetizer for cocktail hour which we paid extra for. -They don’t care about you, just your money. I’m sure people have had better experiences there, but it’s been absolute hell planning with them. The amount of money we paid for this wedding, we should not have had these issues.

Hidden Pines team is been very helpful. Then venue is beautiful and very spacious.

Please DO NOT USE this venue. My daughter got married at Hidden Pinesat Lake Houston and the communication was so bad. I do not know where to begin. They only talk to you when they are selling the venue to you. Once you sign your contract, you better watch out. The sales coordinator turns it over the the wedding coordinator who then turns it over to a day of coordinator who left before the end of our wedding. They only had 2 bartenders for my 189 guests. They could not keep up with the drink. The tables very seldom got bused. The food that we tried was not the same quality that they served at the wedding. We should have food left over since I had many people not attend but no food was sent home. The cake melted. Please save yourself the trouble and money. Pick a venue that you can get your own catering. The price kept increasing on every little thing. They wanted to charge me to move the chairs. They don't deserve the 1 star.

I cannot praise Madison enough! She was very helpful in orchestrated our organizations event with such precision and flair. We had a very tight timeline and a lot of special requests for our charity scholarship fundraising gala, and they managed to pull it all together flawlessly. The Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. Members + Guests were delighted, and we received numerous compliments on the event's execution. Five stars all the way!

Planning a wedding? You can proceed with confidence when having Sheilah as your personal, day of coordinator! Our wedding planning process has been made easier with Sheilahs assistance. From the moment she was on our team, we knew we were in great hands. She is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and confident. If having her on YOUR team is an option, run with it! You'll have no regrets!

Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and having a wedding planner day of was invaluable (Madison is the best!). Only negative feedback we received was the room for the ceremony echoed so people had a hard time hearing. Booking through Walters wedding estates comes with a lot of vendors which was great for us and saved us time researching. All the vendors were top notch and professional.

Great communication I’m excited for the big day!

I attended my nieces wedding last month and while the venue was beautiful the service was lacking terribly. Because family and friends were there to make this a special day that was the saving grace. Customer service should be priority number one as this is a special day. Some of the team members were removing drinks all throughout the evening. There were team members visible eating and taking a break in the suite adjacent to the wedding parties suite and were visible to guests instead of making sure the wedding and guests were doing well. Bartenders could not even make simple drinks as they had barely any fruit and they were taking tips from guests as the tip was given at the end of the evening. The biggest issue I had was team members that were hosting this event were not even dressed professionally wearing tennis shoes and street clothes. Thank goodness for family and friends

I had my wedding here last weekend and it was amazing! The venue is clean and gorgeous. You can truly make it your own. Our family and friends can’t stop gushing about how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was! Andrea G. was so patient and kind with me while planning the wedding, giving suggestions and answering the many, many questions I had! Brooke T. was an awesome day of coordinator! She was so calm on my wedding day that I really appreciated her energy on such a busy day. She did everything we asked and I am so grateful! The event staff was so nice and everyone was so accommodating. I know it takes a lot to hold such big events. Great venue space! The best part is that it includes everything you need in one venue. If you’re thinking about having your wedding here, do it!

While the venue was beautiful, the amount and quality of the food presented was not up to snuff. The food was barely warm and even though I was with first table being served the amount of food placed in the plate made you to believe they were running out of food. The servers who were not dressed appropriately to be working at a wedding reception were constantly clearing drinks from the table even when asked not to take the drink. Over an hour remaining before event was over felt like staff was trying to rush us out of the building. We were told to bring containers for leftovers yet there were none to be had, we should have had at least 10 extra meals remaining. Cake was not placed out with the dessert table instead it was placed in a separate room and it was never announced it was available, when the event was over and we were clearing our items we found the cake. We went to the dessert table to get our containers to take the cake and when we returned the staff was throwing the cake into the trash. We asked them to stop and they did not. It felt as if staff was trying to sabotage the event, we had a great time in spite of them, not because of them.

As a recent guest & family member of a bride whom chose this location as her dream day venue, I have a few things I’d like to bring up in hopes that the facility can acknowledge and improve upon to help make beautiful memories for family’s for years to come! The venue? STUNNING! The staff? Friendly. The wedding itself? Heartwarming 💜 However there were quite a few things that could’ve been better. 1. Someone else also mentioned this but the food provided was mediocre and non abundant. There was beef, chicken, rice, and broccoli. I was served only 2 stalks of broccoli and when the staff was getting my rice, she scooped/shook the spoon three times before she was finally happy with the small portion size. I understand conserving food for everyone else, but the fact that the guest list was short just shy of a dozen people plus one child didn’t get to eat, tells me either A. The staff ate some of the food or B. The amount of food promised was not enough 2. At the rehearsal, unfortunately our bride/groom ran into some traffic on the way there so they were about 15min late and the coordinator for that evening was visibly irritated by this and once they did arrive, we all felt like things were a bit rushed. This is a HUGE moment/day and I know as workers we tend to get caught up in our own lives and just want our work day to be over but a little empathy goes a long way in this profession. At one point the coordinator even neglected to signal the men to start walking out which was a big part of the entrance as the groom/ men were supposed to come out before the bridesmaids. 3. During the ceremony, the room was extremely echoey so the whole thing was hard to hear. There was also a extremely loud “thud” noise (kind of sounded like a mic drop or something) that came from whomever was in the background doing the audio. 4. The serving staff continuously kept taking mixed drinks off the tables when people weren’t around. Nothing is worse than going out on the dance floor, enjoying yourself working up a thirst and then coming back to your table to find out your drink you JUST got is now gone. They also were staring to clear the water off tables again an hour before the event ended. Again, not only is that inconvenient if you’re thirsty but also could potentially be a health hazard if someone desperately needs a drink and theirs is gone. 5. The staff started tossing some of our deserts and even some decorations as well. This started happening when we all went out from to do the “send off” so none of us were inside but when we came back in to collect the leftover cake/pastries and decorations a staff member was throwing treats away and some of our decorations were missing as well. Honorable mention to the fact that I used to do event/wedding planning myself for a couple years…the fact that the bride had a total of THREE coordinators is insane to me considering it wasn’t an astronomically huge wedding. Especially considering that the third one was introduced to her mid way through her actual event!! A bride should have no cares in the world come her wedding day! It’s her day to relax and enjoy and bask in her love…that’s the entire point of having a planner/coordinators is to have them take the stress off the bride/groom and I just do not think that was accomplished this day. Overall we all still did have a great time enjoying family and friends, it just would’ve been a little more enjoyable had the above been handled differently.

Hidden Pines I reached out to venue before posting review in hopes they would at least acknowledge or apologize for issues but my several letters have gone unanswered. I see they only respond to positive feedback. I hope my review helps others searching for a venue. First off this is a beautiful venue. They offer different packages. Their vendors may not be local and any pricing or pictures all done digitally or FaceTime meetings. No catalogs available except online which can get confusing. Any discount offered on packages only available at time of contract signing. You can add any service as you go however we found out after signing we couldn’t get the $200 off for a service not needed if we upgraded a package. Only at signing do they offer. You are unable to set up rehearsal if you want the night before event until 30 days before your wedding. Ceremony room sound is awful. I was alerted by another venue customer a month before about issue and I alerted venue and they assured sound was fine. It isn’t. Do a mic check at rehearsal to make sure or before signing contract Have your own coordinator to monitor event. We had 3 different coordinators and the third one was a surprise to us day of wedding others were leaving and she was taking over. Assurances made by other coordinators did not happen Promised food to take for bride and groom not given. We had 10 guest not show and they didn’t have food for our grandson who woke up as last guest was served. Not sure where our food went that should have been available Workers tossed out our leftover cake and light up props before event ended Workers constantly removed peoples full drinks and even took away peoples specialty cups we ordered separately from another vendor. This happened entire night. Frustrating we couldn’t enjoy our things. Bartenders were unable to make simple drinks. We requested no tipping as we would pay ourselves. We later learned bartenders were accepting tips then took our tip as well. Bar presented as wine only. We had an open bar but none of their alcohol was visible to guests as they had pre poured wine with ice on bar. They dont have things like limes or garnishes. Venue ran out of water well before event ended. If you use venue have someone like your own coordinator monitor employee activity. They were clearing tables of everything with more than an hour of reception time. You have a full hour after reception time to clear out your things so employees should not be tossing or removing your things as they did before actual reception ends. The venue is beautiful. Planning coordinators say all the right things but if you don’t have your own person watching out for you things aren’t followed through as promised. We had a great wedding in spite of their unprofessional service. I attribute most of that to the many helpers my family and friends provided. If you are able to plan for these negative things you can also have a nice wedding here.

Exceptional experience at this wedding venue! The venue itself is stunning. Andrea was our planner. She was organized and so incredibly helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process. Ely, the coordinator, was incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. Candy's assistance was invaluable—she handled everything with a smile. Special shoutout to Michelle, the amazing bartender who crafted the best drinks. A dream team that made our night truly unforgettable! Thank you so much for the best day ever!

Anna was my day of coordinator and she was so amazing and helpful the entire time. She executed things very well and made sure I was taken care. I can't say enough about how she made my wedding day easier on me. Thanks, Anna! Phoebe brought a lot of great ideas and options to the table throughout the planning process. There were times I wasn't sure of what I wanted and Phoebe was very helpful in providing suggestions which led us in the right direction. There were times that I felt the communication and the timing of follow-up was lacking a bit but she definitely pulled it out in the end, which I'm very grateful for. I know this industry can be stressful, demanding and super busy for these ladies, so I appreciate her willingness to redirect focus on me when the time came. Thanks, Phoebe!

Beautiful venue with a friendly staff! There were plenty of options for packages and levels! The food was great and the open bar was a hit!! Madison was my venue coordinator and she was amazing! Answered all my texts and was always so friendly! She made planning really easy and comforting!

Beautiful place, love the atmosphere it gives, our planners Andrea and Tara have been the greatest helping us not only getting the best place that fitted our needs, but also have gone past their duties to help us get everything we need. Cannot wait for this party!!

We had the easiest and best experience venue shopping, and it’s all thanks to Kristy and the Hidden Pines team. From the beginning we were able to easily book an appointment, and the day of we were greeted with mimosas and a welcoming smile from Kristy. I highly recommend this place!!! It’s beautiful, elegant, and at a great price.

My wedding is February 2024 and we are so excited for this day! The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Cortnie who handles the flowers for the venue has been awesome and extremely helpful with my questions and putting together my vision. Lastly, Madison is our coordinator is so thorough! She has helped me keep the stress level down. She has been amazing through this process and can’t wait to continue to work with her until the wedding date!

I am SO happy we decided to go with Hidden Pines for our wedding day. The team there was AMAZING! We worked with Nicole from the beginning and she was the best! She was always helpful and extremely responsive and truly made the whole planning process as easy and stress free as possible. We were really looking for an all/mostly inclusive venue so we wouldn't have to worry about coordinating and bringing in a bunch of different vendors. Everything that was in house at Hidden Pines (DJ/photobooth, catering, bar, tables/chairs/linens) was great but wanted to give a special shoutout to DJ Alexander. He was so fun and had the perfect playlist for our party and kept people on the dance floor all night which was so important to us! Also, our bartender (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was excellent. I believe we were supposed to have 2 but one didn't show up so I was worried the bar would be slow and people would be waiting in line but he absolutely killed it! And the 2 signature drinks we got to choose were delicious. Also, our guests made so many comments on how beautiful the venue was and how well designed and comfortable it was. So many people told us that our wedding was one of the best they have ever been to and it would not have been possible without Nicole and her team. We are so grateful to everyone at Hidden Pines for helping us make our wedding day the best ever!

My husband and I had the privilege of celebrating ours daughters sweet 16 and fifteen at Hidden Pines Lake Houston. We have nothing but praise to give for the staff, the AMAZING venue, and programs. Nicole, our coordinator was a AMAZING . She made the planning and preparation so easy to navigate, and always responded to our questions quickly. She helped carry out a day with many moving parts effortlessly. THANK YOU so much Nicole and to all the staff. Each of you helped contribute for day to exceeded. My daughters and I will cherish the memories of that day forever! The venue's buildings and grounds are so beautiful.

This venue was so BEAUTIFUL! The staff were all so incredibly nice! The day of the wedding they were so helpful and patient. They kept telling me don’t worry about the time because today is your day. They really made me feel special on the big day. Extremely attentive as well! It’s unfortunate that I didn’t have my reception here, but I highly highly recommend this venue!!!

I have attended many wedding ceremonies at various venues; however, I have never encountered a venue that is as beautiful as Hidden Pines. The scenery inside and outside is absolutely breathtaking! More importantly, the Planning Representative, Ms. Sheila, was unlike any coordinator that I have ever encountered. Her class, style, patience, communication, and professionalism are the heartbeat of this grand estate. From beginning to end she exuded confidence and assisted in guiding us through the entire process with sincere care and honesty. Sheila's perfectionism, organization, and attention to detail made our event beyond stunning! Family and guests are still talking ! Ms. Sheila, you are a jewel and we thank you for giving us memories that will last a lifetime.

Hidden Pines - Lake Houston was such a joy to work with from beginning to end. We worked with Nicole throughout the planning process. She was amazing, patient and very thorough. Working with the staff at Hidden Pines through our whole wedding process was excellent! I was super nervous about how communication was going to be, as I wanted everything to be perfect, but Nicole, Reem, Andrea everyone who helped was so nice and attentive, from day one to the day of our wedding. Our wedding guest were amazed at how beautiful the venue was and also complimented on how good the food was! Definitely recommend Hidden Pines Lake Houston to future couples. They are an awesome team to work with and will make sure your day goes off smoothly and on time.

We chose this venue for multiple reasons. 1. The location. It was not isolated enough that should anything happen, help would be hard to find and get. It was also not next to the main road(s) or any places that would offer loud noises. It was definitely secluded enough to have its own fun and loud without mixing with the "outside noise." 2. The venue itself has a calm and peaceful look to it (barn but modern). 3. It's so pretty on its own that I knew that I didn't need to incorporate a lot of decorating. We did minimalist decorations and it was still perfect! 4. The staffs! I cannot stress enough how great the staffs were. Nicole was a wonderful help from the beginning to the end. We didn't have her on our actual day as we had Reem. However, that didn't change anything. Reem, was just as wonderful going above and beyond for us. She was flexible in changing things to our liking and she was really just on it. Both of these ladies were friendly, warm, punctual, and sincere. I also want to recognize the Dj, Dj Tavian (great playlist, flexible too!), the cooks and servers. They were all so kind, friendly and professional. If you don't choose this venue, I do hope that you at least have a team of wedding planners and coordinators like I had in Nicole and Reem.

The venue was beautiful, and Nicole was amazing, she made the process seamless. Even though most of the staff was amazing, I do have some complaints. The dates to do our rehearsal was very inconvenient. I understand that it had to be during the week, because most of the weddings happen on the weekends, but they could have at least given us a time that works for people that are gettin off work like 6pm or 7pm. They had us from 4pm to 5pm and these were the latest times they had. When I got there I was running late because I had to pick up kids from school who was also in the wedding, so we had only 15 minutes to practice. The lady did give us an extra 15 minutes, but it was still very inconvenient. Also, the venue allows 2 hours for engagement photos to be taken at the venue prior to your event, but because of them still under construction and renovating we had to be patient and wait until everything was complete to take our photos, which unfortunately I couldn’t find a time that worked for me, my husband, the makeup artist and the photographer prior to our event, so I asked if I could go back to the venue and do a photo session on the lake after we had the wedding, to get the shots that we missed on the day of, because it got dark, and they didn’t let us because it had to be within the contract period which was prior to my event. I feel like they could have been more accommodating to us since on my day the other coordinator showed up late and had my vendors outside waiting for 30 minutes to set up. Now the lady was very nice and accommodating once she got there, but the venue should take those things into consideration and be more flexible with their policies. Also, the food was not that good, so that was disappointing. Other than that I still feel like my experience was pretty good because of the staff, the DJ, my overall experience during the entire process and the venue itself is amazingly beautiful.

Hidden Pines made our Wedding Day as Perfect as we could have ever imagined! We give the Biggest Thank You to Nicole and the other staff for being extremely helpful and overly accommodating! Our day wouldn't have been possible without them!
